Montjuic & Waterfront – Half Day

Montjuïc offers some of the best panoramic views of the city!

You’ll explore the Olympic Area where the 1992 Olympic Games were held, including the Olympic Stadium, Sant Jordi Pavilion, and Calatrava’s iconic antenna. We’ll also visit the 1929 International Exposition area, featuring the National Museum of Art of Catalonia (MNAC) from the outside, the Magic Fountain, Spain Square, and the old Bullring, which is now a shopping center.

We’ll then head to the Waterfront, exploring the vibrant Barceloneta area, the W Hotel breakwater, the Olympic Village, and the beautiful beaches.

Normally, this tour includes lunch at our favorite seafood restaurant by the beach, where you can enjoy delicious paella and tapas (note that the cost of lunch is not included).

This tour requires the chauffeured option because taxis are not easily available in the areas we’ll be visiting.

Amazing stories and narrative - and generally such a great teacher, not just a guide. He adapted and adopted to what we were interested in and yet didn't let us gloss over some incredible parts of Gaudi's impact on the built environment (and humanity for that matter). Top notch.  Verified Park Guell and Sagrada Família
Six of us enjoyed a half day tour with Javier to Park Guell, Sagrada Familia, and the exteriors of Casa Batllo and casa Mila. Javier was so informative and a lot of fun! He started the tour with a brief history of the city to give us a better understanding of the sites we were about to see. His firsthand knowledge of Sagrada Familia stems from working there when the interior was being built in 2000. We opted for a private vehicle, which I believe made a big difference in the enjoyment of our day since we did not have to take two taxis every time we moved locations. The driver was waiting with an air-conditioned van every time we needed it along with cold water! I highly recommend Javier👍🏼💯

If you are going to Barcelona and want to learn about Gaudi - then you need to book Javier. To say he is an expert is an understatement. Javier has made it his life's quest to learn about Gaudi and share it with others. Javier's tour was the first thing we booked when we planned our trip to Barcelona and we were NOT disappointed. He creates a magical experience. It was the first time in my life I felt like I understood what an artist was trying to do, say, or accomplish. Seeing La Sagrada Familia would not have been the same without Javier. My only regret was not booking the full day tour. If we go back to Barcelona, Javier will be the first thing I book!

Javier was amazing! It was like touring Barcelona with a good friend who happened to be an expert on all things Gaudi, Sagrada Familia and Barcelona in general. He was great for our teenage kids as well as the adults. I felt we could have typed with him for several days and still felt there was more to learn and enjoy.

Of all the tours we did in four different countries over two weeks Javier was our favorite. He was energetic, knowledgeable, well connected to eliminate lines and did not spend time on unimportant facts but rather provided insights that made our visit memorable and interesting. My goodness. We had the best tour imaginable with Javier! His knowledge of the history and architecture of La Sagrada Família and Gaudi is incredible. We had the most amazing time with Javier! We toured Park Güell and the Sagrada Familia, and he was an incredible guide! He was so knowledgeable about all of the history and details of both visits, and we were so grateful to learn so much! He was incredibly kind and flexible and had lots of great recommendations and insights! He also took lots of great pictures of our group, and we will have the best memories of this trip.
